Al Haadi Institute is an independent, non-profit Islamic educational institution based in Sri Lanka. Its teaching work began in 2014 with Hanafi Fiqh sessions and weekly Tafsir classes, and the institute was formally established in 2015. It is run by Ulama of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, offering structured programmes of study for both brothers and sisters.
Al Haadi Institute is managed by Al Haadi Muslim Charitable Trust (Registration R/2890/C/259, registered under the Wakfs Act of Sri Lanka), which is responsible for the institute's governance as well as broader charitable and community work.
Al-Haadi — The Guide — is one of the Beautiful Names of Allah. In choosing this name, the institute reflects its central purpose: to guide students, step by step, through a structured and traditional course of learning, toward knowledge, sound practice, purification of the heart, and a life of service.
This is expressed in the institute's guiding framework: Knowledge, Practice, Purification, Service — Ilm, Amal, Tazkiyah, Khidmah.
The mainstream Sunni tradition, transmitted through an unbroken chain of scholarship.
The two established schools of Sunni theology guide the institute's teaching of Aqeedah.
Students study Fiqh according to either madhhab, depending on their chosen course.
Purification of the heart, sincerity and adab, cultivated broadly rather than through a single tariqah.
